Gicléeprints of our artwork
We decided to create a reproduction of some of the paintings in limited edition. The highest quality and most beautiful prints we found are Gicléeprints. It is difficult to tell the difference between the gicléeprint and the original painting! These prints are made with the greatest care and the best technology. The colors are ever-lasting, and every gicléeprint is signed and hand-embellished by Mariana in person. Because of the high quality, you receive a certificate (numbered and signed by both the masterprinter and the artist) with your gicléeprint. Giclée, the procedure
The Giclée-printing procedure has been designed especially to meet the demands of Fine-Art collectors and experts in museum-quality limited editions.
The word Giclée originates from the french word 'gicler', which means 'to radiate' or something that would be translated as 'spreading a liquid substance by creating a fine mist'. The IRIS Giclée printing technique is developed years ago and uses the so-called 'continuous flow' -technique for all ink-layours, which results in a print whit a texture just like the original artwork.
What are the characteristics of a true Giclée Print?
A true Gicléeprints has the following distinguishing marks:
- The original artwork has been digitalised on a very high resolution of high quality, preferribly by a CRUSE Digitale Fine Art Repro Scanner.
- A true Gicléeprint shows no dots, lines or screens.
- The print is absolutley cleen and spotless (no dust, stains or anything else).
- Every Gicléeprint has always been carefully checked and approved of by the artist.
- True Gicléeprints are not produced by offset-printing, but are made one by one, very carefully and with a lot of precision.
- A true Gicléeprint has been signed and numbered by the artist personally.
- Is always accompanied by a certificate, signed by both Masterprinter and artist. The certificate shows all information about fabric, printer, manifacturer, edition, nr and date.
- A true Gicléeprint only comes in limited editions.
- Has been made at a museum-quality level, with long lasting ink.
- Has been made by a Masterprinter.
The Gicléeprints of our artwork are being made by Masterprinter Paul Krause (Krause Editions, Almere, Holland). We are very happy that we found Paul! We have not met someone else who is so dedicated and is adding so much love, passion and perfection to every single print. His expertise in this printing process is of such quality that his opinion and advise are taken very seriously by the companies that create the equipment for this specialized printing process.
