Gaia, study

Falls 2004. Crayons on paper. Size ca. 50 x 65 cm (19,7 x 25,6 inches). In a quiet moment, I felt the energy of Gaia. Huge, powerful, impressive, nurturing and loving. In my mind's eye I saw this picture of a goddess who's whole being was a blend of the 4 elements earth, fire, wind and water. This drawing actually was a 'quick note' for that wonderful picture in my mind. Some day it will be translated in a much more detailed painting.
